Paper

French Paper’s recycled speckletone, with delightful flecks and shives, is made from 100% Hydroelectric power.

Covers

Our own unique design with rounded corners, we laser cut the covers on-demand at our studio. We use veneered wood comprised of a formaldehyde-free fiber board core with real wood laminate on either side. Sanded smooth. Our Cherry, Maple and Walnut covers have a semi-matt varnish.

We find inspiration in the contents of the contributions and will engrave a unique design on the front cover (we use the words submitted in the contributions as a starting point and often the end result is quite abstract). On the inside back cover we’ll engrave a befitting quote from one of our favorite socially-conscious visionaries.

Thread

We bind our books with super-tough 4-ply waxed Irish linen thread.

Wrap

Combining our love of vintage shopping with our concern for the environment – we wrap each of our Fondfolios in a locally-sourced scarf using a Japanese wrapping technique called “Furoshiki”. This means the wrap can be reused – either for another gift or as an accessory!
